A)  Present time-frame introduction (When the introduction to the Subjonctif passé is in a present time frame):

[Present time-frame introduction]  +  que  +  Sujet  +  "avoir"(Subjonctif présent)  +  "vouloir"(p.p.)  +  verbe principal (Infinitif)

Example 1 (masculin / féminin singulier)

 

Je suis (present time frame) surpris qu'il (elle) ait voulu acheter le livre.

I am (present time frame) surprised that he (she) did want to buy the book. (for emphasis, or negative)

I am (present time frame) surprised that he (she) has wanted to buy the book.

I am (present time frame) surprised that he (she) wanted to buy the book.

Example 2 (masculin / féminin singulier)
