Example 1 (masculin / féminin singulier)
Je suis (present time frame) étonné qu'il (elle) parle depuis dix minutes! I am (present time frame) amazed that he (she) has been speaking / has been talking for ten minutes! (and is still doing so) I am (present time frame) amazed that he (she) has spoken / has talked for ten minutes. (and is still doing so)
Example 2 (masculin / féminin singulier)
Je suis (present time frame) déçu qu'il (elle) travaille depuis minuit. I am (present time frame) disappointed that he (she) has been working since midnight. (and is still doing so) I am (present time frame) disappointed that he (she) has worked since midnight. (and is still doing so)
