A)  Present time-frame introduction (When the introduction to the Subjonctif passé is in a present time frame):

Example 1 (masculin / féminin singulier)

 

Je suis (present time frame) surpris qu'il (elle) soit allé(e) voir le film.

I am (present time frame) surprised that he (she) did go to see the movie. (for emphasis, or negative)

I am (present time frame) surprised that he (she) did go see the movie. (for emphasis, or negative)
